Programming with Elsa

Haven asked to take a programming class. We set one up for her at COS with Kristin, a fabulous tutor. Here is her first program from last week's class.

Dreaming big...

Mom: Joni, what do you think you’ll be like when you grow up?

Joni: I’ll be a bit like you but I might change my wallpaper.

Highlights from the week

Enjoying fruit art & celebrating Ava's bday

Wacky hair day at Camp 4 Real (plus red, white & blue patriotic day & mud fight day...not sure those go together, but kids were excited!)

This is a massive teddy bear, not a person in a costume!

Wrong on so many levels

Monticello's historic dance workshop

Learning the minuet

Lessons learned at the Albemarle County Fair

  1. Arriving right as the fair opens on the first day is the ideal time to go so you don’t wait in lines.
  2. Buying your children the wristband is a great deal to get the unlimited rides, especially when the park is empty so you can go over and over again with no break between rides.
  3. Just because you can go on a spinning ride over and over again, it doesn’t mean you should in 90+ degree weather.
  4. Final lesson: Funnel cake still tastes good to Joni after being sick to her stomach!

Breakfast?

Not sure crepes filled with whip cream & covered in chocolate & powdered sugar count as breakfast, but we had fun making them!
